)After 3+ years and over 190 positive buyer feedbacks on e-bay, I find I have to defend myself on this website. There is so little space to defend yourself when someone unreasonably puts a negative feedback on a record you have bent over backwards to maintain over the years.
So here goes, I'll start with the feedback itself:

I know nothing about these printers, but I do have a tech. (my son) who checks out all these kinds of things I come across before I list them so I can give an honest description. This particular item said in the instruction book that it worked with a serial or parallel interface. Upon inspecting the bottom of the unit we found that it had 2 ports, one of which was an old style 25 pin serial connector. That indicated that this unit was very old but it was as described in the instruction book and subsequently in the auction.
As the auction ran I was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of bidding action on the unit. The auction ended on May 4th, erpiston paid instantly with Pay Pal and I shipped it on the 5th via UPS 3day which got it to the customer on the 10th of May.
On May 13 I got the following E-mail:

My wife and I took off for Kentucky Lake in our new motor home on May 15th returning on June 1 around midnight. I checked my e-mail when I got home and found this message from the buyer that was sent on May 25th:

Either the people at star wanted to sell you a new printer or you found out that you could do it cheaper after you bid on my item and talked to them. The printer is as described. I hope this helps because the instructions state that the printer works both ways, and my guy checked this out before listing. He also said that you need to manage your com port correctly. As I have told you before I know nothing about these things and could not get hold of my helper before now.
At this time I have not received a reply to this e-mail. The next day when I went to my e-bay account I saw his negative feedback.
I never received
a phone call, and winning an auction does not require me to be at the winners
beck and call for weeks after the close of the auction. I had answered
his initial e-mail and even if I was home when the threatening e-mail came I
would not have refunded the $s without getting the item back first. ( I fell
for that one when I first started selling on e-bay by returning $s for a gold pocket watch
that I sold. When I got the watch back it was a different one that was worth
nothing and e-bay did nothing but shut down the thief's account.) No matter
what he says this product was as described and it's not my fault that he bid
up the item without doing research first. There were 3 other bidders who bid
over $120 for this item. Also as the auction states:
